Debbi gives back to many community organizations that provide programs for children and women in the El Paso region. She credits her mother, Frances Cardona, as the major role model in her life.

Debbi is a successful graduate of the elite, ERA Top Gun Academy; she completed the course at the TOP of her class.

The Hester's children include: Bill and Elizabeth (Fort Worth), Dylan and Marissa(Austin), Vaughn (Oakland), and Perry (El Paso).

Bill is a successful businessman in Fort Worth and Elizabeth is a top executive for The Trade Group. They both graduated from TCU.

Dylan is an electrical engineer with Silcon Labs in Austin. He graducated from Duke and earned his Masters in EE at the University of Texas at Austin. He and his wife, Marissa Elaine, live in Barton Springs in Austin.

Vaughn, Harvard class of 2008, completed a Masters in Public Health at Harvard and lives in north Oakland, California and works for FORGE. This non-govermental organization is making significant strides working with children and families in Africa.

Perry is a Senior Political Science major at the University of Texas at El Paso and is considering law school. He enjoys tennis and golf in El Paso,.

Debbi has been happily married 33 years to Dean Hester, a prominent corporate attorney in El Paso. Dean is a talented guitarist, poet, and an avid golfer.
