Gail was born in Virginia and is a graduate of James Madison University. She taught for 19 years in Virginia public schools, where she won both the Teaching Excellence Award and the Entrepreneurship Award. Gail moved to Lancaster, South Carolina with her husband Richard in 1990. While in Lancaster she taught at Faith Christian School, where she won the Teacher of the Year Award. Gail and her family moved to Florence in 1993. She taught at Maranantha Christian School and The Kings Academy. After a rewarding teaching career Gail became a partner in Alley Cats -- an antique shop in Hartsville. She then became co-owner of Cherokee Antiques in Florence. Gail is a members of the Church at Sandhurst. She has been involved in the AWANA program, Bible Alive, and has participated in the choir. Gail is a former member of the Timrod Park Neighborhood Association and served as President for one year. She also served on the Mayor's Coalition to prevent Juvenile Crime. According to Gail, 'I have learned through operating my own business that service and customer satisfaction are extremely important. I plan to put that to use in real estate.
