Licensed as a salesperson in June, 1988, Janice became a Broker in December of 1988. The wife of Robert M. Shows, M.D. and the mother of Virginia Shows Britt and Suzanne Shows Duckworth, Janice enjoys her family time. She is a native of Hazlehurst, Mississippi and has been a resident of Madison, Mississippi for the past 32 years. With her clients' best interest in mind, Janice believes in upholding the REALTORS' Code of Ethics in all dealings.

Janice has served in the Jackson Association of REALTORS as a member of the Board of Directors for several terms, committee member and chaired numerous committees. Just a few of the committees served are: Pro-Standards, Grievance, RPAC, Credentials, and Santa for Seniors. Serving in the Mississippi Association of REALTORS, she has served at various times in the following areas: Graduate of LeadershipMAR, Director on the Board of Directors for several terms, Member Services, Professional Standards committee, Convention Chair, Central Mississippi Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer, Association Operations chair, and several working task groups. On the National Association of REALTORS, Janice is serving on the Federal Fair Housing committee. Janice feels that giving to her profession only benefits her clients.

An active supporter of "Grace's Mission", Janice helps with this SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) education project.

Janice has a motto that she lives by and that is "Committed to Service". She is a Charter and Life member of the Junior Auxiliary of Madison-Ridgeland.
