Having been born in Bakersfield and raised in the outlying farming community of Shafter, I have seen tremendous and exciting growth throughout my 27 years in Bakersfield real estate. After a 10-year newspaper advertising career, and another 10 years of new construction/subdivision sales and project management, I joined Watson Realty in 1991. It was one of the best moves of my life! I am blessed with a high referral client base, and have come to specialize in Bakersfield's luxury homes and golf/country club neighborhoods. In addition to working with our large medical and farming communities, I also specialize in oil company transferees, as my husband served 30 years in the oil business before becoming a custom furniture designer/woodworker. (He spoils our six grandchildren, too!) I've been instrumental in the development and hosting of a website (www.petrowives.com) plus publish a monthly newsletter for our local Association of Petroleum Wives. It's a great way for transferees to meet other wives in the petroleum industry--great FUNdraisers, luncheons and charity functions. My extensive marketing and negotiating skills, combined with my strong work ethic, have earned Top Producer status consistently over the years--including being in the top 11 nationwide for ERA for the last four years! I'm also very active in Women's Council of Realtors (WCR), having served as our local chapter president for 2007 and currently as California State District Vice President.
