Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) While others focus mostly on balancing career and family, ERA® real estate professionals have been working for more than a quarter of a century on behalf of thousands of people they've never met. Since 1977, real estate brokerages affiliated with ERA Franchise Systems, Inc. have made time in their lives to raise nearly $30 million for the Muscular Dystrophy Association's effort to help children and adults with neuromuscular diseases. ERA Real Estate has participated in the national MDA Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon since 1977 when it became the real estate industry's exclusive corporate sponsor of MDA. Since then, ERA brokers and sales associates have been raising money to fund medical research and provide services to help more than 1 million Americans affected by muscular dystrophy.

Multiple Sclerosis Society Melanie has a family member with advanced MS. Rosemarie is an amazing woman with more humor, kindness, and positive thinking than most. Her illness has advanced to the point that she is paralyzed from the neck down & requires around the clock care. Last year she was diagnosed with lung cancer. Every year, Melanie sponsors Rosemarie’s son-in-law in the New York MS bike-a-thon.
AIDS Walk New York Melanie’s brother died of AIDS in 1995. Thankfully, his wife and son did not contract the virus. Each year, Melanie sponsors a close friend in the AIDS Walk New York walk-a-thon in Manhattan.
